PingsYou vs MailerLite

MailerLite sends the email. PingsYou makes sure it gets read

MailerLite is rightly known for simplicity and a generous free plan. PingsYou is just as simple to start with, but does more after you hit send: it adds up to three conditional reminders, sorts the replies, and turns one sentence into a whole email series.

One email, four chances
  1. Day 0Email: "New collection"to 2,400 people
  2. Day 3Reminder 1did not open
  3. Day 6Reminder 2opened, did not click
  4. Day 9Reminder 3last day of the discount

Anyone who clicks or buys leaves the chain. Unsubscribed people get nothing.

If you only have time for one screen, this is it. We also mark the places where MailerLite comes out ahead.

A more generous free plan

MailerLite Free gives 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails a month. PingsYou Free: 100 people and 500 emails - but with every feature, reminders and AI included.

PingsYou ahead

Up to three reminders instead of one resend

MailerLite auto-resend (from Comfort) resends to non-openers. In PingsYou each of three reminders has its own condition: did not open, did not click, did not reply.

PingsYou ahead

A series from one sentence

The MailerLite AI assistant helps you write an email. PingsYou turns one sentence into a whole plan: dates, subjects, copy and reminders - for your approval.

The differences up close

MailerLite’s simplicity is real - and it is its strength

We will not pretend MailerLite is complicated. It is one of the nicest tools to start with: a clear editor, a generous free plan, websites and landing pages included. If you send a weekly newsletter and need nothing more, you will be happy there.

PingsYou aims at the moment when one newsletter is no longer enough: you want the email to follow itself up, replies not to get lost in your inbox, and a sales campaign not to require writing ten emails from scratch. The interface stays simple - the system takes on the complexity.

Auto-resend versus a reminder chain

MailerLite auto-resend (Comfort and Power plans) is a good feature: it resends a campaign to people who did not open it, usually with a new subject line.

In PingsYou it is a chain of up to three steps, each with its own condition. The first reminder goes to non-openers, the second to those who opened but did not click, the third, for example, on the last day of the offer. Whoever clicks, buys or replies drops out. Your stats show separately how much revenue the reminders alone brought, so you can see if they are worth it.

AI that writes an email, and AI that plans a campaign

The MailerLite AI assistant helps write copy and subject lines - available from Comfort. Handy when you already know what you want to send.

The AI email series in PingsYou starts earlier: with the goal. You type "workshop sign-ups on 12 May, 20 seats, early bird until 30 April" and get a calendar: teaser, sign-ups open, early bird reminder, "5 seats left", the day before. The scenarios come from a knowledge base of proven campaigns. You can edit every email, and nothing goes out without your approval.

Where MailerLite does more

MailerLite also offers a website builder, digital product sales and paid newsletters. PingsYou has none of that, and we do not plan to pretend to be a shop or a site builder - we collect sign-ups through forms and receive sales events from your store.

So if you want a website, a newsletter and an e-book sale in one tool, MailerLite is the simpler choice. If you already have a site and a shop, and what is missing is what happens after sending - that is PingsYou.

What it costs at your list size

Net monthly prices in USD, billed monthly - MailerLite lists USD prices too, so no conversion is needed.

  • MailerLite: pricing at mailerlite.com/pricing, checked November 2026. In June 2026 the Growing Business and Advanced plans were renamed Comfort and Power - older comparisons online quote old prices.
  • Comfort caps emails at 10× the subscriber tier, Power is unlimited (fair use). Annual billing: MailerLite -10%, PingsYou -20%.
  • Honestly: Comfort is cheaper than PingsYou at every size in this table, and the gap at 15,000 is small. Power is more expensive at every size. Boost covers up to 10,000 and Rocket up to 30,000 people, so within a plan your bill does not grow with the list.

Which to pick

Honestly: no tool is the best for everyone.

When MailerLite is the better choice

  • You are starting from zero and want to stay on a free plan as long as possible - 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails is more than our 100 and 500.
  • You need a website or a landing page in the same tool as your newsletter.
  • You sell e-books, presets or a paid newsletter and want to take payments without a shop.
  • You send one newsletter a week and need no reminders or larger campaigns.
  • The lowest price for a small list matters most - Comfort is cheaper than Spark, Boost and Rocket.

When to choose PingsYou

  • You want every email to carry up to three conditional reminders, without setting it up again each time.
  • You plan sales campaigns and would rather describe them in a sentence than write every email separately.
  • People reply to your emails and you want the replies in one inbox, sorted by AI.
  • You run recurring events (workshops, meetups, webinars on Zoom) with a sign-up for every date.
  • You want support in Polish or English and a VAT invoice from an EU company.
  • You need SMS through your own provider (Twilio, Vonage, SMSAPI, SerwerSMS).

Moving from MailerLite, step by step

MailerLite groups turn into tags, and every address enters the database once.

In MailerLite: export

  1. 1Go to Subscribers and set the status filter to "Active" (you can export unsubscribed people separately).
  2. 2Select all and choose the columns to take with you (name, custom fields, groups).
  3. 3Click Actions → Export → CSV.
  4. 4To move a single group, open it and use Export inside the group.
  5. 5Only an account admin can export. MailerLite may email you a larger file.

In PingsYou: import

  1. 1In PingsYou: Contacts → Import, upload the CSV.
  2. 2Mark the groups column as "List" or "Tags" - each group becomes a tag.
  3. 3Choose the consent basis. It goes into the GDPR consent log.
  4. 4Upload people unsubscribed in MailerLite as unsubscribed - PingsYou will never email them.
  5. 5Connect your domain: we check SPF, DKIM and DMARC and spread sending over 28 days.

Bring the unsubscribed list too. It is the simplest way to make sure nobody gets an email they already opted out of after the move.

Questions about PingsYou and MailerLite

Which free plan is better: MailerLite or PingsYou?

If capacity matters - MailerLite: 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails a month, while we give 100 people and 500 emails. But PingsYou Free has every feature (reminders, AI series, reply inbox), so you can check whether this way of working suits you before you pay.

Will reminders annoy my subscribers?

Only people who meet the condition get a reminder - for example, those who did not open. Anyone who opens, clicks or buys drops out of the chain. Three steps at most, and unsubscribed people never get anything. You can see unsubscribes after reminders in your stats.

Can I bring my MailerLite groups?

Yes. Groups become tags, and a person in several groups is one person with several tags. Segments are rebuilt as rules on tags and behaviour (e.g. "clicked in the last 30 days").

Can I build a website or sell an e-book in PingsYou?

No. We have sign-up forms with double opt-in, but no site builder and no digital product sales. If you need that in one place, MailerLite will be more convenient.

Does MailerLite have a Polish interface?

Yes, MailerLite has a Polish version of its interface. Billing is in USD or EUR. PingsYou bills in USD or PLN and works in Polish and English.

What about my MailerLite automations?

Automations cannot be moved as a file. In PingsYou you start from ready recipes (welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, back in stock, price drop) or describe a path in one sentence and get a ready flow to adjust.

How we put this comparison together

PingsYou is our product, so we write from its point of view - but everything about MailerLite comes only from its public pricing page and help centre (checked: November 2026). Where the pricing page only shows a number after you move a slider, we use the value reported by comparison sites and say so. Prices and features change - check the current pricing before you decide. Spotted a mistake? Write to us and we will fix it within a day. Product names are trademarks of their owners; we are not affiliated with them.
